LC and SC fiber optic connectors

TDE today announced the launch of its own LC and SC connectors, which it says "feature low-tolerance premium bushings while providing above-average connector level performance for jumpers." In addition, the company says the LC connector's one-piece connector housing prevents lateral damage and "ensures a secure connection." The special design of the LC crimped cylinder in two parts improves its tensile strength and also makes the cable smaller in diameter, while preventing micro-bending, TDE said.
"With LC connectors, it is absolutely impossible to stress the fiber by crimping," says Andre Engel, CEO of the company.
"With the new fiber optic connector solution, we meet the highest requirements for all transmission-related parameters, from a stable mechanical design that is easy to operate to minimal insertion loss and return loss angles." Engel continued. The company notes that its LC connector types and SC connector types are equipped with short cable tail sleeves and integrated limiter for managing bend radius.
TDE offers LC and SC connectors that support all common 0.9 to 3.0 mm cable diameters, the company said.
