Optical fiber sensor and photoelectric sensor difference

First, the principle
 
Photoelectric sensor: It is a sensor using photoelectric elements as detection elements. It first converts the measured change into a change in the optical signal, and then further converts the optical signal into an electrical signal with the help of a photoelectric element. Photoelectric sensor is generally composed of three parts: light source, optical path and photoelectric element.
 
Optical fiber sensor: is the light from the light source through the optical fiber into the modulator, so that the parameters to be measured and enter the modulation area of the light interaction, resulting in the optical properties of the light (such as light intensity, wavelength, frequency, phase, bias, etc.) change, called the modulated signal light, after the optical fiber into the light detector, after demodulation, to obtain the measured parameters.

1, photoelectric sensor application field:
 
Preventing industrial smoke pollution is one of the important tasks of environmental protection. In order to eliminate industrial smoke pollution, we must first know the amount of smoke emissions, so it is necessary to monitor the smoke source, automatic display and alarm. The turbidity of the smoke in the flue is measured by the variation of the light as it travels through the flue. If the flue turbidity increases, the light emitted by the light source is absorbed and refracted by the smoke particles, and the light reaching the photodetector is reduced, so the strength of the output signal of the photodetector can reflect the change in the flue turbidity.
 
Application of photocell in photoelectric detection and automatic control; When a photocell is used as a photodetector, its basic principle is the same as a photodiode, but their basic structure and manufacturing process are not exactly the same. Because the photocell does not need external voltage when working; The photoelectric conversion efficiency is high, the spectral range is wide, the frequency characteristic is good, the noise is low, it has been widely used in photoelectric readout, photoelectric coupling, grating ranging, laser collimation, film sound, ultraviolet light monitor and gas turbine flame protection device.
